This volume follows in the tradition of and draws heavily upon concepts from Kierkegaard's "Purity of Heart Is To Will One Thing" and Pascal's "Pensées." Williams is concerned here with the motives of the heart that underly our actions, and offers suggestions on how we can become aware of and honestly & openly confront these motives. In so doing, he suggests, we will have made significant progress towards the end of a fully redeemed life. Well structured and written, and recommended to those who are looking for more thoughtful dialogue on how much humanity and spirituality are connected.
