Rating: Summary: The entire Bible at an affordable price! Review: BOOK REVIEW:The "Gift & Award" Bibles are one of the cheapest--maybe even THE cheapest--Bibles out there. These Bibles are bare bones... That is; except for the table of weights and measures, introductions to each book, index of the passages featuring Jesus' ministry, list of key memory verses, list of 150 famous Bible stories, list of Biblical parables, etc.; they really have nothing to offer besides all the books from "Genesis" to "Revelations". What I like about these Bibles are that their pages are thick and don't wrinkle easily; most Bibles have thin pages, and they wrinkle very easily when I try to turn the pages. Another plus about these Bibles are that all the quotes made by Jesus are highlighted in red; they stand out easily from the other text which is black. What people might not like about these Bibles are that their print are extremely small, and a few people have complained about getting headaches when they tried to read the print. I am a very big fan of the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, and I have two copies of the NIV. However, I learned that the NIV leaves out a lot of words from the original Hebrew, Greek, and Armaic texts (i.e. there are words from these texts that weren't translated into English). I learned the King James Version (KJV) is more accurate in translation, and therefore, I'm thinking of getting a copy of the KJV.

Rating: Summary: A Good General Use Bible Review: Do not buy this version of the Bible. The fonts are way too small. It's almost impossible to read the words.
Rating: Summary: cheap Bible for giving though not the best for study Review: This printing of the NIV edition is a great beginner's Bible or one to give away to friends, though not the best for serious Bible study or intensive in-line notes. The font is rather small and the paper a bit dusty, though it does the job. Red-letter for Christ's words is helpful, though not an innovative feature. This printing was my very 1st Bible and I'll definetly have fond memories with it though the time has come to pass along the good book, the best book.
Rating: Summary: Best book in the world Review: When I was at school I was given a Bible authorised version. People said it was beautiful english like shakespeare.I didn't understand shakespeare either. Now to read this Bible NIV in clear english makes such a major difference. At this price buy a dozen and give some away to friends. Its the best book in the world.
