Summary: The Time for Good-byes
Review: With all the Gothic hullabaloo that is going around, it seems very hard to think of death quietly. But death and taxes are about the only two things that are certain to happen. So it is convenient to give a thought to death, either because it can come to us uninvited or because it is happening to someone we love.

This book is a treatise on thanatology. It is really a self-help book that quite surprisingly has survived ever since the late Middle Ages. It helps to get enough silence as to meditate about the last thing one will do: to die with dignity, in peace of mind. And once we have had some silence, we can go on living in joy, knowing that our days on earth are a blessed gift.
