Rating: Summary: This one you've got to read Review: Have you ever been down on your luck? Ever felt pain like none other? Where did YOU turn? Paul Plotkin turned to the Psalm. His experiences and stories through out his career are conveyed in this wonderful self help book. Whether you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim or have any other belief, this book can help guide you through your troubles. Mr. Plotkin takes REAL life scenarios and stories and beautifully applies them to Psalm he has read over the years. His creative story telling opened my eyes to alternative ways of reading the psalms. I cannot thank him enough for writing this book.
Rating: Summary: A Book On Life From The Voice Above Review: I have known Rabbi Plotkin for 20 years and heard many of his sermons. When I found out that he had written a book, I rushed to get it. In reading it, I can hear his voice telling the stories I have enjoyed listening to since I was a kid. Easy to read, easy to understand, and meaniful to anyone, this book is a great testament to the man who has served all his life. Even if you don't usually read religious books, read this one. It's fantastic and enjoyable.

Rating: Summary: This one you've got to read Review: Rabbi Plotkin has brought forth the principle that the Psalmists were not writing for their time, or for our time, but for all time. Through his own personal spiritual experience and deep belief, he is able to impart to the reader an insight to the aptness of the poems we know as The Book of Psalms. I wouldn't call the concept exactly uplifting, but a good place to turn, whatever one's frame of mind or level of spirituality.
Rating: Summary: The Lord Is My Shepherd: Why Do I Still Want? Review: This book is a must read for anyone who has suffered loss in their life. It is an invaluable guide to using the power of Psalms for healing the void. Rabbi Plotkin uses very personal stories to demonstrate how the book of Psalms contains ancient wisdom that is as relevant today as it was two thousand years ago.
