Rating: Summary: INUYASHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Being a fan of the InuYasha anime, I have been wanting to collect the series in manga format since I tend to enjoy stories better that way. VIZ, the American publishers of InuYasha, has made these newer versions of the manga which have nicer covers and are set up to read the normal way from left to right. While I was a bit worried about these changes when I picked up # 3, it didn't really bother me one bit when I actually read it.
The manga has two full stories in it and it begins the fight with the thunder brothers at the very end. The first story is about this emperor who has been acting strangely and the second one is about a cursed mask. It wasn't typical InuYasha-style, but it still cool. I would have to say that the first story was a bit more interesting than the second one though. There was plenty of content crammed into the graphic novel, and the artwork is very nice - I will read it many times to come.
Of course, every manga has its downsides. One thing about VIZ that I don't like is the way their ink copiers don't copy dark enough on some pages sometimes, and like I mentioned they add too much American content to stories by changing the cover's design and sometimes even making it read Western style. VIZ has published some good mangas though, and they don't seem to mess with animation or writing too much.
