Summary: Does not disappoint with either the laughs or the heart
Review: High-Spirited Rose Is Rose is the latest collection of the "Rose is Rose" newspaper comic strip. An enjoyable romp with a loving mother who has a wild side that she imagines in biker leathers; an energetic young boy with his very own (highly protective) guardian angel; and the mild-mannered father who has his hands full just keeping up, High-Spirited Rose Is Rose offers the reader an emotional, joyful, exuberant, and celebration of everything from life's simple little pleasures to the daily struggle to balance independence, freedom, and personal responsibility. Very highly recommended reading, High-Spirited Rose Is Rose does not disappoint with either the laughs or the heart.

Summary: A James Bond Angel and lots of kitty cartoons!
Review: I read this boook in a couple of hours. And I admit to read this again in a couple of days. The book as three major subjects, a guardian angel on disguise, a lot of litle fun cat stories and just fun cartoons. It is very unique on its way.

Summary: Another wonderful "Rose is Rose" book!
Review: I've been a hug fan of "Rose is Rose" for several years now and this book continues the tradition. The book centers around the Gumbo family - Rose, Jimbo, Pasquale and Peekaboo. There are a couple other characters as well - Pasquale's Guardian Angel, Vickie the Biker (Rose's alter ego), and selfish cousin Clem.

The family's mild mannered adventures in everyday living are both sweet and endearing without being overly sentimental or sarcastic. They laugh, play, fight and makeup without ever forgetting they're a family and that's what is important. I think this volume has some of the funniest strips yet with Clem acting as the high priest of the snowball arts and Peekaboo's quest for sardines.
