Rating: Summary: welsh malarkey Review: A mildly interesting read; but don't expect sophistication or artwork of the Garth Ennis/Preacher variety; not cost effective in these terms. We would like more, but much thicker-- Anything from the UK is to be encouraged...
Rating: Summary: I'm invaded, I'm invaded. Review: This is a dark, finely drawn tale. Small town, nothing much happens in small towns, but one night a new man moves in. The same night as a UFO crashes into the nearby mountains. Alien or new head teacher? Dai, Helen and Ivan are voting extra-terrestrial. Either way he's an outsider. This is an extremely well written graphic novel, intelligent, gripping, and highly enjoyable. Swain's insightful observations of small-town life have earned her comparisons with Raymond Carver, and for once this is not an exaggeration. I highly recommend this to both fans of the graphic novel format and non-fans alike.
