Rating: Summary: This book is a reference, not a tutorial Review: Some comments on this book are misleading. After seeing many five stars comments on this book, I bought it as a tutorial. After reading this book and using the software for several weeks, I had not learned much. I decided to give up this book. My friend used this book for learning AutoCad, she also had to give up.Later I decided to buy another AutoCad book, called "AutoCad 2000 - One step at a time", to learn AutoCad.
Rating: Summary: AMAZING BOOK! PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS AND PROS ALIKE! Review: Teacher-Extraordinaire George Omura has written a masterpiece. This book leads you by the hand through all the intricacies of this powerful software without letting you go. I was reluctant to purchase a 1600 page book fearing that I would get lost in a pulp jungle; given my experience with big, disorganized books. This book was a pleasant surprise well worth its price. If you're a beginner this is the book for you. If you're experienced this is also the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Great assistant for AutoCad students... Review: This book by Omura is a great asset to the beginning, mid, and advanced AutoCAD students who are looking for good quality referencing material to answer those difficult questions immediately. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and take it with me daily between school, work, and home. I'll be looking forward to more quality material by George Omura in the future.
Rating: Summary: A good book as usual by Omura Review: This is a good book to have if you are learning AutoCAD. George Omura has refined and increased the material in this book over the last several versions of AutoCAD. You can not go wrong if you buy this book. The only complaint I have is that there is a "Premium" version of this book coming out in August and I have already bought this one.
