Summary: Excellent text for an instructor lead course in data com
Review: This is an excellent introduction into the scientific study of data communications for beginners. The first six chapters cover the heart of data com with the remaining chapters providing a simple overview of LAN and WAN technologies.

Summary: Good content but poor edition
Review: This the THE book to introduce you into data networking. But the heaps of errors in its international edition really turn you off. I can't believe there are still so many typos and mistakes in the 5th edition!
