Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK SAVED MY LIFE! Review: I am a professional trainer of a large corporation. I was asked to train over 300 employees in advanced Acrobat. The Classroom in a Book was useless and there are few resources for people such as myself to turn to. I happened to stumble on this book on amazon. I noticed it was selling well. I ordered it and read it within 3 days. It answered questions that had been plaguing me for years on PDF Writer and all the little ins and outs on Distiller. It was an easy read and the author has a light and entertaining style that makes it a pleasure to read. This book really saved me from embarressment. In fact, I made it required reading in my course. I highly recommend it for anyone who needs to fully emerse themselves in this technology.
Rating: Summary: Very Very helpful in my job. Review: I installed Acrobat 6 and began working on a project. I thought it would be like working with a typical word processor, how wrong I was. I am glad I was able to use this book to point out how there is so much more Acrobat does. I found out how to integrate Acrobat with Office, how I can create PDFs in Acrobat and how Acrobat works in creation of web pages and websites. The book has a wealth of information on conversion from one format to another, multimedia, printing and something I never knew you could do create search queries. The book has taught me several things in a short time frame and overall I found this book very useful.
Rating: Summary: Should Be Better Review: I purchased this book for an overview of Acrobat 6.0. While there is some good info, too much is not explained fully. There are constant cross references "see chapter 8", no page reference and the bulk of the book is for the pro version. The author spends a lot of time using fancy nomenclature (not technical terms) instead of offering better tips. I would love to see a Special Edition Using Acrobat from Que Publishing. That series is excellent for learning software. I will look for a better book.
Rating: Summary: Well, it tells ALMOST everything... Review: Not bad. Certainly contains a lot of information. It didn't help me figure out how to prevent photo quality loss when sending a file to a print shop (well, it told me why it happened but it didn't tell me exactly how to fix it). However... there are lots of neat tricks and tips for other Acrobat uses. It explained all the options in Distiller and that was helpful. I think we'll get use out of the book at our office... but I'm a little disappointed. It was probably worth the money though.

Rating: Summary: This book covered all the aspects of Adobe Acrobat Review: Since the Adobe Acrobat program is not too involved, the format of this short book is a perfect fit for the program discussed.
