Rating: Summary: To Basic for Exams Review: This book provide a high level overview of Windows 20003. It does not provide enough detail to pass the exams.
Rating: Summary: Total garbage Review: This book was TERRIBLE. While I appreciate that they tried to fit in the material for both exams into one book, they ended up skimping on information quantity and quality. I counted 15 technical errors before I just gave up counting, returned the book, and moved on to another book. Take my advice and spend the extra $40-$50 and buy seperate books for each test. Here's hoping that this book is revised and reprinted soon.
Rating: Summary: Covers everything Review: This books covers both the 70-292 and the 70-296 exams, which is great considering that the two exams share a lot of common topics. You NEED to know Windows 2000 fairly well before reading this book, since most of the information relates to the updates and new additions in Server 2003. I read the entire book before taking either exam, which the author actually recommends, and I passed both easily. The only complaint I would have is that the book is softbound, but the material contained in this book is great and will get you through the exams without any problems.
Rating: Summary: Bone up for this exam, 'cause it ain't easy... Review: Yes, you should get this book. But man, the exam was hard (for me.) I would also recommend lots of brain dumps and some experience. The exam covers a wide range of topics, and it had been a while since i got my first cert, so I was a bit rusty. The authors of this book provided a good structure, good overview, and hit on basically every topic. Sometimes I needed to research a bit more to fully understand everything I wanted to know, but it would take 2000 pages to cover everything. Minazi's book is good for that, but don't use it for MCSE or MCSA
