Review: When I starting writing Java applications and applets I found it to be tedious and difficult. So I bought a few different Java books to help me out. After two other books I came across Java 2 for Dummies. I'd used the Dummy series before and other authors seem good at turning difficult knowledge into easy to understand english. The author, Barry Burd, is a wicked funny guy too. And no, I'm not just saying that. Not only was his dialog entertaining but also informative. It wasn't like other java books which end up reading like an encyclopedia. It gave me a great understanding of Java. I highly recommed this book for anyone starting to learn it and even for those who have been coding for a while. "Hello world!"
