Rating: Summary: Not enough to pass on its own Review: Do not use this book as your only resource when studying for your exam. This is a great book for people have access to the software and 2 machines and no clue about windows 2k (LIKE ME) they will give you a basic understanding of administrative tasks After reading this book then an MS Press book and a couple of online practice tests to measureup my skills and make sure I had the examessentials to pass I was able to pass the test.
Rating: Summary: Better than any other guide Review: First of all, let me make this clear. "You cannot pass the exam by just studying this guide". But amongst all the other guides in the market, this guide by Sybex is the best.Sybex products are the best, i have compared them many times with other publishers. Sybex always stands out. I passed the exam (70-210) and (70-215) by using Sybex's guides together with Coriolis' Exam Crams and Braindumps. This is enough for anyone to pass the exam.
Rating: Summary: This book is enough to pass the exam Review: I have used most of the Sybex books to help assist with my exams. These books are well written and have tons of useful information. If you are entering the world of computer's, My suggestion is that you buy a few computers and follow the exercises to get the hands on training. Most companies now day's do not care about the certs as much as you actually know. They are mostly HR criteria. ( A cert just represents to most companies that you are showing an effort towards learning )
Rating: Summary: OK book Review: I just finished reading the book. It was OK, touched on the exam objectives, but did not really go into detail. One thing I was a little annoyed by was the fact that when it described how to do something (for instance, setting up a server), it was exactly the same wording as the exercise for that topic. It seems that the book could have been smaller if the author did not do this. It wasn't a poor study book, just mediocre. What I think is going to save this book is the sample test questions in the book and on the CD.
Rating: Summary: Don't do it Review: I just took the exam. There were many items on the exam that are not even mentioned in this book. Sybex has done a good job for me in the past but this one is not worth the time or money you will spend on it.
Rating: Summary: Passed Win2000 Server--yeehaw Review: I passed Windows 2000 Server using these books. Yeehaw.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I thought this book provided great preparation material for the exam. Scored a 933. I would recommend Transcenders + hands on experience for maximum benefit.

Rating: Summary: Could have been better Review: Like most people, I purchased this book as a study aid for passing the Microsoft exam. I have to say I was disappointed. The book did serve as a good starting place, but once reviewed and compared against other exam prep materials (and then finally the Microsoft Exam itself), the book failed to be a decent reference point for study. The very basic material was covered decently, but the more complex material (that the test is actually based on) was either not covered, or covered so quickly that you would never have gotten the answers from this book. I've used other Sybex books in the past, and this one falls short of their norm.
