Review: A well-organized and well thought-out book appropriate for anyone with any level of experience with either Flash or animation.This book is refreshingly fun to read; the author clearly enjoys the subject and maintains a relaxed and interested tone throughout. It really does include everything you need to know to start making your own cartoons with Flash.

Review: As someone who has quite a bit of experience with animation programs, but little exposure to Flash, I found this book to be very useful. It's written in a lively, entertaining manner and Mark Clarkson manages to describe difficult procedures in terms even those new to Flash can understand.

Well-paced and easy to digest, his book also goes easy on the tech-speak that loses most casual learners. All in all, a good start.

Review: I can't believe the horrible reviews here. I checked out the other books at the same time as I bought this one. This book is focused on cartooning and animation. I'm taking a class right now on classical animation and this book was great for my transition over to Flash. I wrote to Mark thanking him for a job well done. His book is great and the cd that is included. I found other animators' sites that were so funny. It gave me more ideas for my own animations. More inspiration. I had to email some of them to co-workers and family, it was too good to keep this for myself. Please check out this book if you're starting a new career in animation.
