Summary: A quite thorough and comprehensive guide to data structures.
Review: Whereas I have had the great fortune to have Dr. Kruse as my professor, I must admit, his course is the hardest in the department - if you are looking for a book that just hands you the answers, keep looking: if you are looking for a book that gives you the how and WHY of data structures, then this book is for you. 2 of my 4 years in university were spent with this prof, and I've found his book, which we used, was as his lectures were - if you put the time in and work through the chapters one by one, read the text, and do some of the exercises at the end of each chapter, you come out with a solid understanding of the data structures presented. This book is most definately worth the money, and i'm quite happy to say that after having lived through the pascal and C versions (and seeing his first copy of the japanese edition when he received it) I'm most pleased to find a C++ version of it.
