Rating: Summary: A useful book (says author of GUI Bloopers) Review: This is a very practical book. The authors did a good job of showing how user-centered-design and engineering works in the real world. The first chapters explain well what designers should be aiming for, and the remaining chapters explain well how to do that. I especially like the recommendation to prioritize system features in a 2x2 matrix based on how many users will encounter the feature how often (frequent vs. seldom; by many vs. by few), and the recommendations for how the UI of features in each cell of that table should be designed. The book even includes helpful examples of design bloopers to avoid.
