Review: A lot of books have been written about Lotus Notes and Domino administration with the majority of them focusing on explaining in painful detail simply the basics. This manual, Domino System Administration, goes one step further and explains in detail a large amount of advanced material. Very informative for anyone involved with the installation, administration, and development in the world of Lotus Notes and Domino.

Review: After finding things in this book that I couldn't find in the Lotus yellow books or the IBM red books, this book is the first book I look at when trying to fix a problem with Domino Server or Notes client. Of course this is the ONLY 3rd party book dedicated to R5 System Administration, but it fits well into the position

Review: Great Reference. Go here first then look elswhere! I just HOPE Mr. Kirkland and NewRiders come to some agreement and get an updated version for R6/6.5 soon to be 7 out.Invaluable!!!!! If I had to do in the trenches domino administration and could only bring one book with me this would be it.

Review: I've always been skeptical of other's reviews of technical books fearing bias for the author. However, since I do not know the author at all I can honestly say that this is one of the better books for a Domino admin to have. The book is pretty thorough and has saved my butt a few times. Although, I have to comment about an area that needs correction. The section that discusses Domino partions using a single IP address and port mappings is almost right. The way Mr. Kirkland describes how the port mappings should be listed is flawed. Instead, go with the example described in the Administrator's Help database for partitions. Other than that, its a very good reference book.

Review: If you are a real Lotus Notes Administrator, you can't be without this book. It is the BEST book I've ever used in My Lotus Notes career. And since that day, I always search for NewRiders Books. This book worth its wieght GOLD.
