Rating: Summary: 4 Routers and this book. Good hands on experience. Review: This book allows you to practice on sections of BGP at a time. You can read and configure sections of BGP that you're weak in. Its a good book to keep at your desk when troubleshooting. ***** Its not a book that you read cover to cover...
Rating: Summary: Excellent reference and preparation for the CCIE lab Review: This book has 1 to 4 lab exercises for every BGP command using a minimum number of routers. If you are preparing for the CCIE lab this book can guarantee that you shouldn't miss any BGP questions.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book with poor editing Review: This is one good book on BGP with an error a page. The good point about this book is it uses minimal routers for examples and demos. It also has excellent troubleshooting diagnosing documentation. This book could do better with editing. Just too many mistakes.
Rating: Summary: Bible of BGP config Review: This is really a good book if you are studying Cisco BGP for CCIE with some prior knowledge of BGP. This is not the book for the beginner. There are almost all the BGP commands are discussed in this book with great LAB examples. If you have few routers (at list 3) and you want to lean BGP. This is book you must buy.
Rating: Summary: Finally....A bgp book that in concise, practical and more... Review: This is the new definitive BGP book by Cisco. It is more in depth than Internet Routing Architectures and covers very specific and practical examples on how to properly configure BGP.The nice thing about this book is that it does cover theory, but does not get bogged down in it. You could easily take this book with you to work and set up community strings, peer-groups and load balance BGP with this at your desk. It's Very specific, has very pratical examples and is a must if you work with BGP and are striving for CCNP/CCIE...4 stars. A must have in any Network Engineer's library.
Rating: Summary: Another dissapointment for BGP book Review: Why does everyone keeps repeating the text in the Cisco web site. There should be a BGP book for the man and not for the boys. There should be a BGP book that tackles more on attributes, filtering, regular expressions, etc. All that is in this book are basics, you can learnb it also from Cisco web site or from the Cisco ATC.
