Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK FOR BEGINNERS AND THE EXPERIENCED Review: This book is great for beginners and as a quick reference for those tags you just cant remember. It has a very handy reference section in the back, and the book itself it very well organized, as is the back. It covers everything up to style sheets, and I think there is a MORE HTML 4.0 for Dummies Quick Reference which I also plan to get. This book is good overall, but it does not have all of the HTML tag attributes, which I have had to find online. Good book overall!
Rating: Summary: Money well spent Review: This book is the best book for learning the basics of HTML. If you are an expert web designer and having a momentary lapse, this book is very handy.
Rating: Summary: A must if you want to design web pages Review: This book rocks! I had a little background in HTML (should of paid attention in my computer science classes while I was in college) so this book was great for me. It explains everything you need to know, step by step, and gives examples with screen pictures. I recommend getting the other dummy book 'Javascript'
Rating: Summary: Good reference Review: This book was a good quick reference if you are new at html. However it doesn't tell you a whole lot or how to do more advanced things, like cool effects. Great for beginners though!
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: This is a terrible book! It gives a lot a stuff but none of it works! If you like cats, you'll like this book. It's more about the stupid cats than the HTML.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Quick Reference Review: This is a very handy book. I use it more than any other HTML book that I own, because it is small, and easy to take with me. It's not supposed to be an extensive reference, buy it for what it was intended, and you will be happy.
Rating: Summary: Great reference! Gets to the point. Review: This is really a good deal. This is the pick if you don't want to buy the more expensive dummies book.
Rating: Summary: Great Little Friend! Review: This is the first HTML book I bought and it's become my favorite. Not only did I learn how to build a webpage from scratch, I continue to learn new tricks from it every time I dip inside. This is great if you want to learn how to code your pages and not rely on templates. There's also a quick and handy color code guide in the back.
Rating: Summary: An excellent and easy to use reference. Review: This little book with its spiral backing and stay open anywhere pages is so simple to flip through, especially for the beginner who is always seeking a Tag or a quick bit of instruction. Easier and faster than having to flip through a large book and then trying to force the pages to lie flat or holdiong it with one hand while you type in the tag with the other.
Rating: Summary: The HTML Rosetta Stone Review: This was the best $15.00 (marked down to $11.00 -- you save $3.99!) I ever spent. This book breaks down HTML in logical, no-nonsense fashion. I was able to go from never writing anything to working full-time as a web page designer in about a year (thanks in part to using Photoshop, as well). Re-invent yourself, while there's still time!
