Rating: Summary: Product Mgrs Review: All product managers should memorize this book and expect your requirements group and systems analysts to at least follow these procedures. It IS the standard, period.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books on systems analysis Review: Although Modern Structured Analysis was written a generation ago, its remains valid and valuable to today's systems analyst. Its examples are a bit weak, but the concepts and techniques are a healthy antidote to the UML-extremism found in many new systems analysis treatments. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: This is a prerequisite for case tools. Review: Do not let the published date this book fool you. The principles are sound and hold true for today. This is a structured analysis book, not a programming book. This book goes way beyond flow charts. And take you into the realm of entity-relationship diagrams, tools of structured analysis, state-transition diagrams, and behavioral models, automated tools, and various charts such as Gant. This is a prerequisite for case tools.

Rating: Summary: Old Info Here Review: For the price, this book is not worth it. I spent some time reading through this at the YALE book store. The information and its slant seem better suited for the Dark Ages!
Rating: Summary: Perfect book to beginners Review: Is very easy to learn Structured Analysis with this boo
Rating: Summary: This book has had its day! Review: It is a wonder this book sells even now when lot of better books have gone out of print. Then, life is full of such surprises.
Rating: Summary: A very dated book. Review: The concepts and methodologies in this book were 'modern' ten years ago. They are now mostly obsolete! Avoid this book at all costs!
Rating: Summary: Concepts presented well, but slightly dated examples. Review: The principles are sound. The book is easy to read. The case studies in the appendix are very helpful
Rating: Summary: This book is extrmemly dated. Review: This book seems to take the 'my way or the highway' approach. There is more than one good way to approach structured design, this is just one approach. The content is very dated, it may have applied well in a 1985 glass-house, Cobol environment. But has very littly relevance today.
