Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not worth the time...
Review: This book is definitely of poor quality. You will walk away from the experience feeling very frustrated if this is your introduction into networking. Fortunately, I had enough background experience to compensate for the book's many omissions. There are many errors and incorrect statements in the book.

Additionally, if you are doing this book for college credit and you are assigned to do the case problems, you will probably have a sympathetic instructor. Many of the case problems at the end of the chapter have nothing to do with what was taught in the chapter. For example, one problem depicted an issue you were to solve when someone was 'ghosting' computers and the network settings conflicted. If you know about ghosting, or drive imaging, you'll understand it and should be able to figure it out. But, if you aren't familiar with it, you'll be lost because the book doesn't cover that topic.

Overall I give this book a low rating for its poor content. I could learn more from a 'Dummies' book.
