Rating: Summary: Good for reference Review: This book is good for a quick reference. The review questions at the end of each chapter are nice. The CD Rom's practice questions are ok at best. I would not recommend this book/cd exclusively for practice and studying. I passed the 70-215 exam with the following materials: This Passport book; Transcender's simulation exam and TransTrainer video. Also, I highly recommend using two or more computers (one set up as the domain controller/server) to get a feel for the domain environment - I can't stress that enough. Good Luck!!!
Rating: Summary: reference material book yes, exam aid, no Review: This book will get you some basic knowledge of what you need to pass the XP exam. I would use it more for reference than a study guide. I would not suggest using it alone to pass the exam. Get yourself some other more detailed books or study aids.
Rating: Summary: Somewhat helpful, but could be a lot better Review: This is my first (at last) read of a Mike Meyers Passport book. It's okay if you want a simple review of the basics for a 70-215 exam. But it lacks details and doesn't feel very well thought out. I found numerous mistakes in the text, and the corrections on Osborne's website appear to be a joke (when I last checked it was just a screen shot of a Windows error message). Use the book to quickly see what skills you are missing, but look elsewhere to learn the details of those skills. My advice? Invest in Transcender's 70-215 exam simulation. And take a look at O'Reilly's "MCSE in a Nutshell". I don't know why I didn't get that instead. Their "MCSD In a Nutshell" was fantastic while studying for the Visual Basic exams, and if their MSCE guide is half as good then it's twice as good as this Passport.

Rating: Summary: Not wonderful Review: While Passport for 2000 Client allowed me to pass easily by itself, this book did not seem to give enough detail, and I had to read another book before feeling ready to pass the test. I highly suggest either combining this book with another, or choosing a single more detailed book.
