Review: Never used Photoshop before? Intimidated just by saying it? This book will rid you of all that. It starts off by giving a short tutorial using the tools Photoshop has to offer. After which, the tools of the interface are explained. As you progress through the chapters, you start to get an idea of how to properly employ Photoshop as you get more familiar with its tools. In short, you LEARN by doing. It even has a section on the blending effects and gives a good explanation on layers. I recommend this to the beginner and intermediate. Kudos to S. Romaniello.

Review: The author of this book is both an artist and a computer guru. You will enjoy his unique perspective in demonstrating Photoshop 6 as the latest tool in the creation of images. I think you'll enjoy his style and approach. His writing is friendly and casual, yet he really knows his material well.

Review: The book was put together extremely well. His approach is thorough and understandable. At times when you upgrade your software along with the previous version of the book, it is like buying a duplicate of the previous book. This is not the case wit h this book! An excellent book for all levels.

Review: The material in the book is good up to a point where the cd program inevitably crashes. This is not only frustrating but gets my computer locked up. In this context I would say that... spent on the book was largely wasted. This program hasn't just locked up once or twice but every time I have tried to use it. I'm running Windows ME with a Pentium 4 processor and 512 RAM
