Rating: Summary: concise and clear Review: After reading the reviews of the first edition, I was somewhat skeptical about buying this book. However, since there is no other study guide available for the IT Project + (2003 Objectives), I decided to give it a shot. This book is very well written. It is inline with the CompTIA updated objectives, and has loads of practice questions. After every chapter, you will find 20 multiple choice questions (along with their explanations). The companion CD has addition 120 drills, with explanations. The best feature is that the difficulty level of these questions is inline with the actual test questions (add 5 to 10% variance). The only reason I am giving this book a four star is because of the typos. Although, the typos are not that misleading that you will end up learning a concept incorrectly, I believe the authors should have exercised a better quality control plan during the execution/controlling phase. Whoa. Do I sound like IT Project+ certified or what? I passed the test. The only other material I used was the cram session study guide. It is written for the older version of the exam though. Why did I bother reading that guide? Because, at that point, this book was not available in the stores. If you have a good understanding of PM, and if you solve all the 350 multiple-choice questions that comes with this book (and the CD), the actual test will not be as hard, as most people think it is.
