Rating: Summary: A true Quick Reference Guide Review: A true Quick Reference guide. Fresh out of college I knew alot about IMB's AS/400, but very little about TSO. This is a must for beginning computer operators & a handy reference guide even for a seasoned Analyst.
Rating: Summary: ...a great tool for our employees. Review: Dear Information Technology Professional,My TSO reference covers functions like the following and much more: - How to easily create a new member in a PDS - For ISPF 4.1 or higher - how to get the home key to go to the top line instead of the pop-up menus - how to position the command line at the top of the screen - how to easily copy information from one data set to another I've been told it is the one tool that every TSO user needs. More than 22,000 copies sold to date. Let my improved TSO reference help you save valuable time. Even seasoned TSO users will find many helpful tips! Sincerely, Olivia R. Carmandi P.S. Ron Weintraub, of AFLAC, who is a veteran MVS user, comments about our reference: "Your books are the best quick references I've ever used, a dynamite cheat sheet."
Rating: Summary: Not for Beginners in TSO! Review: I bought this book as a new user to TSO and am finding it not helpful at all. Unless you are already familiar with TSO then pass this book and try "MVS Tso Part 1: Concepts and Ispf", by Doug Lowe. I'm sure if you are familar with the mainframe then this book is a handy reference but I showed it to some of the guys that I work with who have been programming on the mainframe for 10 - 15 years and they also found it hard to follow. Maybe when I become more familiar with the mainframe environment then I'll appreciate this book more.

Rating: Summary: Great Tool for New Employees!!! Review: I provide technical training to many mainframe users and this reference guide was a great tool for our newer employees! It has reduced the number of phone calls I receive for TSO and/or SDSF assistance! Definately recommend the book to other users!
Rating: Summary: Handy Little Book Review: If you're looking for a handy reference to use for TSO, this book is it,in a handy format. It's great when you don't have time to read a full sized book. It's great for refreshing your memory.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: Shows lots of short cuts. The book contains command line and line commands in an easy to use format. I love it.
Rating: Summary: Life Saver - Great Reference Review: This book is an example of a great idea gone mediocre. The need for a quick reference guide is definitely there, however, the format and layout of this book leaves a lot to be desired. Content is good, if you can find it.

Rating: Summary: Life Saver - Great Reference Review: This pocket sized book is great at going step by step through any TSO jam you may be in. It is also great for the beginner wanting to know more. The wording is easy to read and follow. It's great reference material to have beside any computer.
