Summary: A JCL Book That Students Call "Clear"
Review: This is an excellent text or self-study book for programmers who work in an IBM mainframe environment. After years of teaching from MVS JCL texts written by technical experts who were not very good teachers or communicators, I discovered LeTraunik's refreshing alternative. This is NOT an exhaustive compendium of all there is to know about JCL. But it IS a well-strutured, well-written text that covers the core subjects that application programmers need to know in order to communicate with the operating system. My students have hated every other JCL text I have ever used, and they love this one -- they are able to UNDERSTAND it!
