Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Basic
Review: As an inexpensive starting point for getting to grips with Director its not bad. Neverthless it is basic and those with even an intermediate knowledge of the application should avoid as it only barely touches on Lingo and very soon renders itself redundant .
Best to invest in a book with a longer shelf life that will guide you from the outset to more advanced topics.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very helpful
Review: Great orientation to Director MX. Helped me get up to speed quick. Good sections on Digital video, Lingo, all the basics. Clear and concise writing, easy to follow. Keep up good work!

Summary: Very helpful
Review: Very clear writing style. Has saved me lots of time and got me up to speed quick working with MX. Covers all the essentials.

Summary: Very disappointing
Review: When I see a title "QuickStart" I assume I'm going to get worked through hands-on projects to work through. This book does not give you that. You don't even get a single "First Project" example.
Instead you get you a mis-mash of mini-procedures that are incomplete and unclear. The books that come with Director are better than this.
