Rating: Summary: Clancy @ the Speed of Dr. Suess Review: I just recevied this book today. First I want to rate a seller because i couldn't figure out how in my shop zone. I want to make this comment about liquidotcom3 (I believe that is his name) My comment is "Used? The only thing wrong with the book is a slightly bent upper right hand corner, and I probably did that unpacking it! I ordered it last wednesday Oct 2 and it came today oct 9th, pretty impressive!"I have read 19 pages so far and know about 4-5 featuresnow that i didn't know about FP2002. I can tell this will be a good book. It is technical enough to learn from, but it reads fast! BUY IT! As a business owner, I have to be on the cutting edge of the software that I work with, and I think this book is going to take me there. I will do another reveiw when I am finished. I may even read it straight through.
Rating: Summary: Good information?but lacking in some technical details Review: One day I was looking for a book that would help me learning FrontPage. Some of my friends suggested me to buy this book. And they were correct! If you wish to learn advanced tehniques and master FrontPage, then this book is the best choice for you!
Rating: Summary: Great All Around Reference Review: The problem with this book is very simple. Say you don't know a thing about flying. Now I sit you in the cockit and start explaining every single gauge and feature of the airplane. There's no chance that you are going to remember all that. Instead I should get you to know the bare minimum to fly and then build from there on to more adavanced levels. The author obviously knows the product. But obviously doesn't know how to teach it to the uninitiated. He starts off with almost half the book describing every conceivable feature of Frontpage. Stuff that I will probably not need to know until I become more advanced. What I would like to do is learn the basics and build from there. I am taking it back to the store and getting the Visual Quickstart Guide. Adios Mr. Jennet
Rating: Summary: Developing for small to medium sized business? Review: This book will be a god send for those that are developing for small to medium sized businesses. It is very informative, the step by step examples are easy to follow, and give enough information that even most novices should be able to understand what is being presented. I plan on using this book as the resource that I will provide to companies that we offer as another way to support them after developing their sites. So, if you are creating sites that you don't want to spend hours and hours helping your clients maintain when you are done, use this book. It will create happy clients and save you hours of boring support calls! Have fun, and come visit my site...
