Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: A well written book of the "Bible" series! Great examples and delivered in an understandable "lingo." This book is a must have for all Director developers regardless of your level or experience. There is a ton of useful information for everyone.
Rating: Summary: great book on Director 8! Review: As an experienced flash developer, this book helped me greatly in learning Director 8 and gives enough info for both beginners and intermediate users. I also like the fact that it's very Mac user friendly, as most others books always show pictures of PC screen shots instead of Macs. There are other great books for Director, but I'm sure this is one of the best out there.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Introduction to Director Review: Compared to other books on the same subject, this one gives an in depth and simple to understand explanation of Director's capabilities. It also goes to great lengths to compare Director 7's features with Director 8's new, improved features. It reads like a good novel, it's actually hard to put down!
Rating: Summary: Easing the Learning Curve Review: Director 8.5 is a monster application with huge range of functionality. Nyquist's "Bible" uses CD-ROM-based tutorials to carry you through the concepts with relative ease. The tutorials are part of one continuous complex project, taking the reader from the basics through media management, interactivity, project management and some pretty sophisticated Lingo programming. It is also organized to allow easy reference for specific issues. Having recently completed an 'Emedia & Design' programme I would have to say that Nyquist's book is probably the most valuable text in my library.

Rating: Summary: An Excellent boost for anyone involved w/ Director 8 Review: I am an artist/illustrator who has picked up Director, and just have to say that Director 8 & lingo bible is real helper and a half, from the examples to the explanation of complex codeing.
Rating: Summary: Last not least, The BEST Book Review: I am pretty much a self-taught software user (Coral Draw, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and firmly believe in the use of manuals. Each chapter builds on the last and he does a credible job of explaining the process as you follow along. This book has the answer of all your questions. From begining to Advance.Half of the book explain the things we can do without lingo & rest of the book is about lingo.I have no background of programming but by reading this book i am now so familiar with lingo programming & asume that i have been using lingo for years. The writers have done a superb job. This book is for evrybody, I strongly recommend it to you all who are in designing & multimedia field.last not least this is the BEST Book i have ever read
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this book! Review: There is no better book with which to get involved in Director. I've read nearly all of them; nothing else comes CLOSE! Get IT! ENJOY IT! LOVE IT!
