Rating: Summary: A thorough book for development of real-time OO systems Review: This book is a very thorough, in-depth, and detailed explanation of the OCTOPUS method used with great success at Nokia. Since it uses the Fusion notation, which is based on OMT, it is slightly dated with the widespread acceptance of the next-generation UML. It also reveals a quite complex, brute-force process which, while methodical and proven successful for Nokia, would require some sophisticated tool support to be conveniently implemented. Still, it is a book well worth buying and studying, especially considering the lack of other titles on the subject
