Review: As a newbie PDA owner, I found the information in Sony Clie for Dummies both informative and essential. Well-organized and packed with lively, plain English instructions, the Sony Clie for Dummies book is much more than a manual. This book covers a little bit of everything relating to this wonderful Palm OS based handheld. In addition to the basics concerning the address book, date book, To Do List, Hot Synch, and the Palm Desktop for Clie, the author does an excellent job of documenting many of the essential third-party programs that make the handheld a complete pocket computer. Programs like Documents To Go, Agendus, and various games are all covered in detail. This book has not only helped me understand and use my PDA device much more effectively, but most of the supplemental web links listed in the chapters are still active as of this writing, unlike many books whose links have disappeared by the time they hit the shelves. This is how I found out about accessories like the battery pack charger, the single cable synch/charger, and a few other goodies that I probably wouldn't have stumbled on to on my own. Fans of the Dummies series will not be disappointed with this one.
