Rating: Summary: Not very good for a developer Review: I found this book to contain a lot of "marketing" as opposed to technical details which i am more interested in. The book is divided into 2 parts: N-ISDN and B-ISDN. I was hoping the book would spend a lot of time laying foundations and giving details about LAPD, Q931 etc... But it covers those fundamental topics very lightly. Yet it spends 3 long chapters on ISDN "marketing" so to speak. For example, it goes into painfull details on different ISDN services and how much they cost etc... etc...I am dissapointed with this book.

Rating: Summary: Why I wrote the book... Review: I started the first edition of the ISDN book back in 1989 because I couldn't find a good general reference on the topic... and I knew (hoped?) that it was an important service and technology. They are clear, concise, and to the point. I especially like their ATM Applications and Theory and their TCP/IP books. This ISDN book is another winner
