Review: The book is well-written and easy to understand. However, it's also very elementary. It would be a great beginner's intro to SQL Server, but as a MCDBA study guide - no way !! If this is your test preparation, you don't have a prayer of passing the exam

Review: This book contains too many errors. Even a 70-029 flunkee like me found so many errors I lost complete faith in any questions/answers and put the book away. The text IS NOT EVEN CLOSE to being detailed enough. Oh if only we could pass this test with the level of knowledge presented here...

Summary: Nobody proof read this book
Review: This book has numerous technical errors, making it a poor study guide. The book says varchar handles 255 characters, the quiz says 1 million, but the right answer is 8000! There are many errors like this. This is my first and perhaps last Sybex book.

Review: This book is a trap, basic errors and references to features of the 6.5 version are normal. Don't waste your time and money.

Review: This book is far below average. The sample test questions are ambiguous at best; you'd need a psychology degree to ascertain the jumbled mental processes used to compose them. Errors abound, as do direct contradictions within a few pages of each other. I weep for the future of our industry.

Review: This is an excellent and more readable compare to MS Press. Good explain on Data Modeling by using downtown example. MS press is kind of Abstract. But I read both, exam cram and Online document b4 taking exam

Review: This is the worst Sybex Study Guide I ever read. Full of errors. It covers less than half of the materials you need to know to pass the exam. Don't waste your money on this one.

Review: When I bought it in November the rating was 3.5-4 stars, so I decided that if I go through it I would be ready, I was very mistaken. After wasting months preparing, I FINALLY understood that there are so many errors, that it is worthless. And now after passing an exam, I can say that the text is not even close to the content of the exam. Do not waste you time with this book, buy Transcender exams (what I did eventually) and study them, and you will pass.

Review: When my company went to MS SQL 7 I wanted a source that tells me what I needed in a complete but easy to understand manner. This book does it in a manner that everyone should be able to take advantage of. I'm using this book so much at work and home that I bought a second copy.
