Rating: Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Review: All of you revieweres who do not choose to give out their emails suck. I would like to run up to the Authors house and congratulate him and thank him because he wrote such an outstanding and helpfull book. I have never been so impressed and satisfied with 47 dollars of spending. As for the woman who said that he is a Peoplesoft consultant, you are the most horrible man alive, just because you are a Peoplesoft consultant doesnt mean you are a good one. Maybe if all of you Texas rednecks actually knew how to read a book you would appreciate this and cherish it.

Rating: Summary: Excellent introductory book Review: As a member of a PeopleSoft implementation team, I found this book extremely useful. I was able to utilize a great deal of the information, and felt that the author had a keen since of the things which can go RIGHT and WRONG with a system implementation. The book is especially useful in its handling of the functional aspects of the implementation. Don't expect a great deal of programming and technical information. Like PeopleSoft, this book keeps that in the closet. Also for the person who has participated in numerous implementations.....skip this one. It will be fireside reading for you. However, if you have been placed in the unknown PeopleSoft land and need a map...try this guide!! It is an excellent introduction to the software, client- server technology and systems implementations
Rating: Summary: Your return on investment would be scant at best Review: I bought the book after completing a PeopleSoft project and found it lacking any substantive value
Rating: Summary: This book is terrible, I know... I'm a peoplesoft consultant Review: I consult with peoplesoft and I think this book is very bad. It has nothing much to do with peoplesoft, just implementation of financials. No detail or direction on how to...just talk to fill pages. a terrible waste of money. zero stars
Rating: Summary: This book has worked wonders! Review: I required my whole team to read and implement this book. After six months we discussed how it affected us, and the results were incredible. It is a must read/must use!
Rating: Summary: peoplesoft for 3rd graders Review: I was very disappointed. I'm not a technical person, but this book lacks in anything significant. If you have ever heard of Peoplesoft, this book will not further your understanding. I know that books on peoplesoft are rare, but they should not be useless.
Rating: Summary: The Book is a must read for peoplesoft beginners Review: If you rea going to learn people soft or have started implementing a peoplesoft project then this book would make the theoretical implementations of the project very clear. Your fundamentals on how erp packages are designed will be crystal clear.
Rating: Summary: Guide to Implementation from 50,000 feet! Review: If your are about to begin your first experience in implementing a large scale client/server application like PeopleSoft then this book is probably a must read for you. The book does a very good job of covering all of the issues you will face and need to plan for during your pending implemetation. If you are looking for detail (below the 50,000 foot level) then you will probably be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: The book is not good Review: In my opinion, this book does not give much details about the implementation of peoplesoft financials.
