Rating: Summary: The Importance of Application.cfm Review: I have to qualify this review by saying I have just finished the first chapter so far. The chapter covers databases, template structuring, variables and the all important Application.cfm.If his first chapter is any indication of what the rest of the book is going to be like Houser has a concise resource. I like Houser's style, historical references and subtle humor describing the use of Microsoft Access on the back end.

Rating: Summary: A ColdFusion Cookbook Review: I think this is a great book. Unlike most ColdFusion books, Instant ColdFusion, is not a "ColdFusion from start-to-finish book." It provides a bunch of pre-cooked applications and steps the reader through their creation. It will make a great addition to any CF book collection.
Rating: Summary: A good start, but needs better review Review: This is another fine ColdFusion book, with plenty of real world examples. A nice step away from the "Hello World" examples everyone seems to include. The biggest disappointment in the book was the typos and errors throughout. I found myself debugging code just because the author and publisher didn't proof read more carefully. A fine book, but purchase a used copy, a book with this many errors isn't worth full price.
