Summary: It falls in line with other Sybex titles content
Review: I have used 3 different Sybex books to pass 3 different exams. They are great for someone that is looking for focused content and to learn a little on the way. This book is good, in that it makes you think about the soluions to the problems and does not present just one way to solve it. We will see jus how good it is when the test exam goes live and I get to take it.

Compared to McGrawhill book I read in the past Sybex is a clear leader.

Summary: Don't rely only on this book to pass 100
Review: I passed the exam a couple of weeks ago. I bought 3 books in all, and this was the best of them; yet I wouldn't have bought any of them if I knew what I know now about the exam. (I bought 3 because they all seemed to have different ways to cover the information.) The only thing really worth reading is the case studies in the beginning of the book. The best thing is to download the demo exam from MS and take your time answering the questions. Good Luck!

Summary: better than rest, still not up to the mark
Review: I read this book and one other book before giving and failing in the exam. It was much better than Syngress Media book which just covered MSF. But still don't expect this book alone to get you throuh Exam 70-100.

Basically, Eaxm 70-100 is a test of Intellegence, concentration, stamina and Analytical Aptitude. Nothing more, nothing less.

Summary: Covers material, needs to lose the attitude
Review: I used this book as a supplement to the New Riders text that was my primary study tool. Despite the snotty attitude conveyed by the author in the answers to some of the practice questions, I found the material to be relevant, especially the difficulty of the case studies and the chapters on specific Microsoft technologies. The case studies forced you to read very carefully to answer the questions correctly, which I found was one of the biggest challenges on the real exam.

I passed the exam on the first try, thanks largely to the Transcender exams pointing out where I needed to pay more attention in my studies. I found that the New Riders book covered the business requirements, database design, logical and physical design with more depth than this text, but this one has the edge in explaining the relevant Microsoft-specific technologies.

Summary: Do the 3 testlets at the beginning and you will PASS!!!!!!
Review: I was petrified when I worked through the 3 introductory scenarios in this book - they are pretty thorough and fairly difficult. When I took the exam today, though, I was pleasantly surprised, because the exam scenarios were much easier. I attribute my passing score entirely to this book (and the accompanying review guide). If you can do the 3 scenarios in this book, then you will most likely pass.

Summary: Sloppy
Review: Just took the test and passed. If the test had been like the book, I would have failed. You can't answer the book scenarios crisply, and you certainly won't come up with the same answers as the authors. Never mind the typos, inaccurate answers, and snotty attitude you'll find in the Answer Key.

Having been through three volumes of the SYBEX MCSD material, I'd have to agree with one of the other reviewers: the SYBEX MCSD series is not even close to the same quality as their excellent MCSE series.

Summary: Ignore the others
Review: Most of the people who buy this book only want to cram the information and have absolutely no interest in learning the material. I am glad that this book does not just give out the answers. Learn it for yourself and you will be fine. Study it hard and apply it to real life situations you may have had the opportunity to deal with.

Summary: Don't worry about this Sybex title, they almost newer miss.
Review: Nice to see such an enthusiasm about not yet shipped title but I'm quite shure it will be quite handy book. As for me, I always prefer Sybex but not Microsoft titles for exam preparation.

Summary: Sorry, waste of time
Review: Simply put, this book offers very little help to passing the 70-100 exam. As another reviewer noted, go to transcender.com and download the demo test. I passed on my first attempt due to the transcender demo and by talking to someone who passed the test. If you must have a book, I'd recommend ExamCram's Architectures over Ezzell. It's not that this book doesn't contain good information, it just doesn't serve the purpose of passing 70-100.
