Rating: Summary: one & only transaction March 2004 Review: Order: Book of Angels, Stephen King: The Dark Tower, II, & Bruce Springstein, CD. Attempted to change order, next day for something else. I cannot edit or add to an order. That was a forced purchase. I am never purchasing from Amazon.com, again.
Rating: Summary: Great beginners guide to stock trading Review: Since I day trade stocks on a part time basis, I was curious to see how the author bridge the gap between the day trading and short-term investing or medium term trading. I have to admit the author did an excellent job. Everything seems to be here-- from technical analysis to taxes. It is truly the "one-stop guide" to short term investing or medium term trading.I particularly enjoyed technical analysis chapters. They were complete and well illustrated. All of the complex technical analysis indicators were well explained and illustrated. The language was easy to understand. The examples were real. Good job. The author was able to explain complex information in a simple step-by-step manner. It is not surprising that the author has an advanced degree. I do recommend this book to anyone considering the stock trading.
Rating: Summary: No hype--just the facts Review: Since I lived in Nevada I tend to compare stock trading, whether it is day trading or swing trading, to speculation. If you are inclined to speculate and take a short term stock position, I recommend that you read the book before you engage in stock trading. It will help you understand the risk, tools and strategies required to survive in the business of stock trading. I like the book a lot because it was an honest introduction to short term stock trading. The book did not contain any hype or promises of returns or road map to fortunes. All of the trading risks in specualting on the stock price movements were disclosed upfront. Most importantly, the tools to manage such risk were introduced. Secondly, the book has more than 400 pages of stock trading information and so the book is complete. In my opinion, all of the trading information, from technical and fundamental analysis to Level II screen, was systematically presented in an easy to understand language. The book was also well organized and well illustrated so it was easy to read. In short, this book is one of the most complete introductory texts to stock trading that I have read. I particularly recommend the book to novice stock traders, although experienced traders will also benefit by reading it.
Rating: Summary: Electronic Swing Trading for Maximum Profit Review: This is a good book, with very complete info on many market topics. The problem is that the focus is more on day trading than swing trading. There is little or no real info or real life examples of swing trading styles and strategies. Instead it focuses too heavily on market mechanics more relevant to day trading. The writing style is fairly easy to read, but the poor editing and grammar made me question the quality of what I was reading. Not too bad, but still disapointing. I'm left still looking for a good book on swing trading.

Rating: Summary: Electronic Swing Trading for Maximum Profit Review: Waste of money. Mostly just general reference stuff which can be found in any of 100 places - how to use level 2, explanations of MACD etc. The buying hook of course is the promise of the title that the book will somehow be a specialization course in swing trading as opposed to day or buy and old. But the advise regarding swing trading given is the most common sense type that any one could think of. Save your $$ on this one.
