Summary: Dear Abby: Thank you, thank you!
Review: ...for bringing light and joy to those who just haven't been comfortable with computers. Abby helps potential surfers, intimidated by the prospect of learning a new language and finding their way around a new machine, to overcome their fears and appreciate all the great things that they can accomplish with this cool tool. She offers practical guidance to novices, and clearly and methodically illuminates the paths to communicating on the World Wide Web. And Abby is such a sweetheart: she never condescends or loses her temper. Do you know someone who's struggling to get up-and-running on the computer? This is the book for them.

Summary: A proud mother speaks
Review: As a small child Abby loved toys with buttons, levers and dials so she moved easily into the new tech world. As a senior citizen, I really enjoy the places that my computer can take me and have been known to remark that I would rather have it than my car. Hurry and give us volume two!

Summary: "Never Too Late" is Right On Time
Review: At last someone came out with a book that explains the basics of computer usage and Internet navagation that I need. Stokes beautifully explains it all without either dumbing it down or talking over your head; and does it with humor and patience. In the 20th century I traveled the world by boat and plane taking in the sights and sounds of all it has to offer. In the 21st century the world comes to me through my computer thanks to the internet with help from "guide books" like this one. Bravo Abby Stokes

Summary: The book I've been waiting for
Review: For months I've been dawdling with my computer, trying to learn it's workings on my own. Beaucoup frustration, losing words, paragraphs, my mind. Then I ran across Abby Stokes' book. I can't say the world opened for me but it has clearly clarified my approach to the machine that I dreaded opening. I feel I understand what I am doing when I touch the keyboard. Thanks Ms. Stokes.

They just sat on a shelf. NOW THIS IS A BOOK I UNDERSTAND!! Again thank you Ms Stokes !

Summary: A computer book I can understand!
Review: This is the first computer book I have been able to read cover to cover and understand it. The chapter on word processing was most helpful to me. Even though I currently use the internet, I was able to learn more and find things that I have been missing! Now when I talk to my children about the computer I know what the words mean! I'm looking forward to a second book!
