Rating: Summary: just don't get it Review: this is probably the hardest c++ book i have ever attemted to read. it's as if they purposely made it so that people can't figure it out.
Rating: Summary: C++ Student Review: This isn't a great book as I thought it was. The begining chapters were pretty much detailed and explained program examples step by step. Starting on chapter 6 till the end of the book, there were few step by step explanations and the author for some reason assumed that brief explanations were sufficient.
Rating: Summary: Horrid Review: We have to use this book in class, and it is a piece of garbage. Everything is explained poorly, and the examples are worthless.
Rating: Summary: Garbage! Review: We were required to use this as a textbook as well. It is very hard to understand even for someone who has been programming for a while. Worst computer book I've ever bought.
Rating: Summary: This is C , not C++ Review: We were required to use this as a textbook. It is hard to understand, especially in an introductory course. My instructor pointed out the differences between C and C++. This text shows C programming not C++. For example, iostream.h instead of iostream, math.h instead of cmath, and there is no mention of using namespace std. If you want to learn C++, do not buy this book!
