Summary: This book is different.
Review: What I like about this book most is it's written by two seasoned professionals in both production and education.
It shows in each chapter that authors are presenting methods derived from their long years of experiences as a teacher and a VFX artist.

Many of the tutorials I worked on also made me concern about proper workflow and pipeline in production.
I saw so many books which teach just one-off Maya techniques and not worry about entire project.
This book seems different in that many chapters gradually help following chapters. It is very well planned.

I read the author's bio and was not very surprised that both of them worked as instructors at universities and worked as vfx artists for TV/Film productions.
Tom worked on various major broadcast projects and Shinsaku worked on films like "Matrix: Reovolutions" and "The Day After Tomorrow."
It's a rare opportunity that I can buy a book written by REAL seasoned professionals.
I will learn as much as I can from this book and try to get closer to fulfill my goal: work on cool VFX films!
