Rating: Summary: Exec handbook for liability! Review: As a project manager for a software team, this was a nice read - I've given it to my senior management team to help bridge the gap between technical jargon and project managers. Thank you.

Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Cover Your Assets is well written and pulls together, in a concise manner, the key aspects of managing, securing, and deploying Internet applications. It provides both technical and non-technical guidance to operating applications in a secure environment. It explores technology and policy related issues, going so far as to provide specific checklists of responsibilities for all members of an organization who share responsibility for security. In addition, it makes specific security recommendations for configuration of key devices to limit their vulnerability to malicious activity. In short, the book is well done; a useful treatise for all security concious members of an organization.
Rating: Summary: Good start..... Review: I thought this book was a nice overview (from a higher level) for application developers on the process of application development.I would ask for the authors to include more information on privacy because its such an area of concern.
Rating: Summary: Not very good Review: This book is a pure guideline for senior managers for understanding how to use a process for developing application security. Good Job!
Rating: Summary: Please... Review: This book is nothing more than a trite rehash of the kind of security stuff you can find in any Google search. Save your money and get anything by Bruce Schnier, Steven Northcutt, etc. If I could get my money back I would. What a waste.
Rating: Summary: Exec handbook for liability! Review: This is a good read for all C level management to understand the liability issues their company may be put in due to web based applications.
