Summary: Microsoft FrontPage 2000
Review: creating, viewing and editing website in frontpage.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great Starter Frontpage book
Review: This is a great book for people wanting to learn how to use the frontpage 2000 interface. If you are looking for a book on how to use HTML code this is not the book of choice. I skimmed thru the book while building my web site and had a good understanding of the frontpage flow in about a day. This book is a good buy for a rookie frontpage developer.

Summary: Mostly OK
Review: This is the first book in the "Mastering" series I have bought. The book's main problem is that it merely runs through the features of FrontPage 2000 without providing useful tips of insider knowledge. I like books which are not solely on the side of the program's writers and which give honest information about the program's true strengths and weaknesses. It is almost as if the authors are using the program for the first time and just learning as they are going. Also, there is an incredible amount of repetition, especially within PART VI of the book. Honestly I would have to say that the book could be condensed to about 60-70% of its size and retain readability. Sometimes, not enough emphasis is given to the fact that FrontPage Server Extensions are required for some of the features to work, which is confusing. The book will probably be great for a beginner that is NEW to web-page design, however if you have any experience at all, get a more advanced text book or, better still, learn how to use a much better web-page authoring software package (Macromedia Dreamweaver).

Summary: Good example when you rush publishing a book
Review: While it is packaged nicely, this attempt to get a book out on FrontPage 2000 is simply taking the previous book and substituting 2000 for 98. Very few hands-on examples. Because of the rush, the book is full of inaccuracies, thus leading to more confusion on the part of the user.
