Summary: Working for both self study and classroom training.
Review: Aside from being a Technical Instructor and freelance reviewer, I am also a Network Manager. I am currently involved in a migration from NT Server to 2000 Server with active directory. I found things in the book and lab manual set that are right on target with this project and at the same time I can use the experience to help study for the exam. I found that the troubleshooting techniques and tips to most useful. Several people I know who are already Server Certified also found things in the book that provided them new ideas. As with other books in this series the exam challenges and review questions, as well as the material covered were right on with the exam objectives. The book is setup not to teach you how to take the exam but rather to enhance you ability to work with Windows 2000 server, the exam certification is a plus that you can attain by working with the material and practicing. Include with this book is a lab manual and cd, the lab manual has over 35 labs, again the lab manual is fine, but I would prefer it be incorporated with the book for a more fluid learning process. The cd has practice exam and for an additional $50.00 you can get over 500 more questions. Overall it has helped me out and I think it would work well for both self study as well as the classroom environment.
