Review: This book really is a "pocket guide." It's the size of a little marketing book that you would expect to be free-- but people are paying $46 for this.

This book explains the basics (such as "what is PROFIBUS?") and goes into detail about timing parameters, signal integrity, and pinouts. They crammed a lot of good information into a tiny book. There is no fluff whatsoever.

Despite the high information density, which is really what you want from a book, it's hard to part with $46 for this tiny little book. Perhaps instead of having an engineer write it alone, they should have had a marketing person add some fluff so you feel like you're really getting something for your money.

This book will save you from having to break out IEC61158 just to recall basic info.
