Review: I find the book very helpful, especially the Matlab code. I am not using the mechanics portion at this time. I would like to see toolboxes on plates of all shapes treating frequency, deflection and stresses for all the usual boundary conditions. - That would be a good sequel to the book.

I am a mechanical engineer working in the aerospace/defense sector. I recently attended an introductory Matlab class. I really liked Matlab, it is a powerful tool. I was looking for more material to read and books which combine Matlab with mechanical engineering. This book did that very nicely.
