Rating: Summary: Good to review your knowledge Review: If you already have Microsoft Press's "Self-Paced Training Kit" for 70-215, you shouldn't buy this book, because the practice exam part of "Self-Paced Training Kit" is the same as this book.Although this book has a few apparent wrong answers, which is corrected in "Self-Paced Training Kit", this is a good book to become familar with the real 70-215 test. It is not so twisty/tricky as many free sample tests on the Internet, but has almost same level of complexity as the real test, and gives you an idea of which part you should study. Each answer/choice has detail explanation of why it is correct or wrong. This explanation would supplement your other training materials. This book randomly selects 50 from about 120 questions, balancing among objectives. I would rate 5 stars if this book doesn't have wrong answers and does have a litlle more questions.

Rating: Summary: A Nice Supplemental Book For Exam Prep Review: MCSE EXAM 70-215 Microsoft Readiness Review is a nice book to supplement your preparation for the Exam, but do not purchase this book thinking that since it is from Microsoft you will not need any other preparation material. This publication gives a nice, but extremely brief set of sample questions on each aspect of the various objectives of the Exam. I found that even with my experience with this operating system, I still needed more. For more detailed information you about each aspect you will need to turn to other book on MS Windows 2000 Server. Considering that the publisher (Microsoft Press) is connected closely with the creators of the Exam, I believe that this book could have done better. The best I could rate it is average. But...probably not a bad choice to add to you choice of Exam Prep Materials.
Rating: Summary: A good self test tool Review: This book follows the usual pattern for Microsoft Readiness Reviews: skills lists, suggested practices, pointers to further reading, questions and answers. The outline and content closely follow the exam objectives. The questions and answers match the interactive test on the CDROM. The questions on the actual exam in February 2001 are significantly harder than these questions. The exam questions typically require a level of detail that you could only get by working with Windows 2000 Server in a real network environment. This readiness review may give you an idea of where you stand, but it is no substitute for a lot of study and some real experience. Microsoft's goal for this test is to make it impossible to pass without experience. As of February 2001 they seem to have reached their goal.
