Rating: Summary: A Flawed "Must Read" Review: Although I would have liked to give this book 5 stars, I cannot. While the message is timely and you need to know about it, there is a glaring flaw throughout the book. Somebody sure dropped the ball on proofreading the text before printing it. I suppose because of their apparent haste to get the book out as soon as possible. It's an important message that needs to be disseminated. But I found it rather irritating reading sentences with words and phrases repeated back to back. Also, the author would quote and/or refer to some person and their job title over and over and over within the same chapter. The job title is necessary only once when the person is first mentioned. Thereafter, only the name is needed. Still, if you don't mind wading through poorly proofread material, then I highly recommend getting this book. As I said, the message is timely - and you need to know what's coming. The author is a man of integrity and he "knows his stuff". I have not yet read a more thoroughly researched book on the topic of Y2K and its after effects. Purchase the book and read it. You'll be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: Hard hitting, factual analysis of the Brick Wall dead ahead! Review: Richard Wiles has done his homework. I have been investigating the Y2K Problem for nearly two years and this is the most comprehensive, clear analysis of the problems that mankind, not just Americans, are facing on January 1, 2000. It is clear to me that we are not getting the straight scoop from our government officials. Every leader out there is calling it a "Bump in the road". Richard makes it clear in Judgement 2000 that the Y2k Glitch will bring severe changes to the world. I highly recommend that all readers get this book and get the straight scoop from one who knows.Patrick Russell paddyboy@cheerful.com http://members.tripod.com/~PatrickRussell/prophies.htm Prophecies Page
Rating: Summary: should be placed in the "fiction" area Review: Today is January 3rd, 2000....and the sky is NOT falling. One reader commented that this back was a hard-hitting FACTUAL analysis of the brick wall ahead... but, unless there is some good explanation for why all of these things did not happen when "prophesied", then this book needs to go with the ones written by Tim LaHaye and Jenkins--in the fiction category. Maybe this guy "missed" the time, but it certainly looks unlikely, now, doesn't it...guess if we all still have heat next December, then this guy and others like him need to drastically regroup. (Wonder what all these bookstores are going to do with all the y2k disaster books they ordered? )
