Summary: excellent for beginners
Review: i've read a bunch of beginner maya books and this one is by far my favorite. the book teaches you by projects so you learn by doing. the projects will teach you nurbs and polygon modeling, basic modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation. the instructions are clear and so are the graphics. all in all, i recommend this book for any aspiring beginner.
