Summary: clear, informative, down-to-earth, readable, useful
Review: I've had this book since 1983. I've worked off and on with Unix, mainly as a technical writer using a Unix text editor. This book has *never* let me down. It's easy to follow and it's packed with relevant examples. It's great as an introduction for newcomers and also as a reference for those who have had exposure to Unix.
