Review: A friend of mine handed me a copy of "Laptop Security, Short and Simple," and I'm so glad she did. My PC has died and I was thinking about buying a laptop. After reading the book I realized there was a lot I didn't know when I bought my first computer.

I attended one of those computer swap meats the book mentions and noticed how low the prices were. In the past I would of considered buying one but from reading the book I recognized that when prices are that low they are usually stolen computers. I was familair with the "scavengers," mentioned in the book and stayed clear from buying one of those computers. I also learned about giving my computer a full diagnostic before buying it.

This book was extremely helpful in purchasing my new laptop and how to protect it. The book also goes into encryption, viruses, spyware and other important security for the average laptop. I recommend this book to anyone who owns a computer.

This is a great reference book to keep near your computer when you install anti-virus software or need to protect and organize your passwords. This is a good book for anyone who spends time on the internet and wants to be protected.
